How to make Straw Art ??

Straw art is creative and ancient art. There are different types of arts like Stone Art, Metal Art, Wood Art, Drawing, Painting etc. But Straw Art is purely different than such types of art because
neither we have to use any type of colorful ink, paintbrush as in painting nor we have to do heavy works like hammering, carving etc. as in Metal and Wood crafts. This art can attract viewers as any other art even though artists don't have to do heavy work. Besides this, the art is time consuming and complex work. Straw Art is created by pasting dry straw over canvas.
At first we need to collect dry straw which is easily available anywhere in the farm. Straw is a wastage stalk of wheat or barley plant which looks like shiny small pipe. These straws are generally used to burn by farmers for different purposes, like cooking food, heating in winter etc. as an extra fuel. So, we can easily collect it.
After collecting, we need to refine it. Nodes and outer layer of straw are cut off. Every cylindrical segment is cut parallel through height. Plane straw can be obtained by pressing such straw on a plane, hard and smooth surface with the help of blunt knife. Now straw will looks like rectangular plane paper having shiny slippery side and dull side. By this way we can produce basic material for straw art. We can create any type of shape and size of an object by such refined straw.
Sketch of a required object is drawn for creating straw art in a thin paper. The sketch must be visible from both side of paper. Otherwise, we need to redraw from opposite side too. The refined straw is pasted with limited amount of glue on dull side of straw and it is fixed on a front face of sketch. We need to concentrate on selection of color or pattern of refined straw to show realistic view to the art. By this way we can give different types of effects to the art. After the glue dried, we need to cut perfectly according as the sketch by using any sharp tool such that thus formed part will have smooth boundary. Every such part is pasted on a hard thick paper where a full art should be made according as the position of our initial full sketch. By this way we can construct straw art of any sketched object. We can give more realistic view to the art if we can construct every part of sketch in the same manner as explained above. Because pattern or color or style of pasting straw can be changed for every part, but we need to create suitable one with best imagination. Preparing an attractive straw art may take from 1day to many months longer time according as the complexity of original picture.
Straw art is the art of cut and paste. Anyone can create straw art but he/she need to have practice, imagination and patience. Repeatedly cutting and pasting then drying small pieces of straw art is very time consuming as well as tedious. But after finishing the full art, the artist will enjoy and forget all such tedious work. Similarly a straw art can attract every people when it is hanged in the wall of your room. Viewing it from farther distance when light is focused, it looks as if it is polished with gold. This is just a short description about constructing a wall hanging straw art, greeting card, banner, name plate etc.
Besides this we can also construct any decoration piece of straw. Like 3D model of a house, bell, temple, monuments etc. This type of decoration piece can be placed in rack, table etc. which increases the beauty of your room.
